SSJ Music Studio

I am a Michigan-based mezzo-soprano and private voice and piano instructor. In 2019, I earned my bachelor’s degree in Vocal Performance from Oakland University’s School of Music, Theatre & Dance, where I received extensive training in conducting, diction, vocal literature, and music theory. During my studies, I performed a wide range of classical works in German, French, English, and Italian.
While still completing my degree, I began serving as the English Choir Director at Mother of God Chaldean Catholic Church in Southfield, MI. In this role, I prepare the choir for weekly services and also sing and play for masses. The choir primarily performs hymns in English, but occasionally incorporates Latin, Arabic, and Chaldean pieces. I also have the privilege of performing as a soloist for specialty masses, including Weddings & Memorials.
After graduation, I dedicated my career to teaching private voice and piano lessons through SSJ Music Studio, where I also organize semi-annual recitals that give students the opportunity to share their progress with friends and family.
In recent years, I expanded my work to include early music education at Montessori schools in West Bloomfield and Commerce, MI. There, I teach students from toddler through fifth grade and direct two concerts each year.
Whether in the studio, the classroom, or with the choir, these diverse experiences have deepened my love of music and strengthened my passion for sharing it with others!
